block is in the
low position.

Incorrect Position

The sliding block is in the high position.

Carefully press the Gunfit down into position. Ensure that the slot is in the centre of the rib.

Use the same method to mount on a side-by-side.

Starting point on Concaved Ribbed Gun.

Position the adjustable plate at the first notch or loosen the screw to allow the plate to find its own level.

Starting point on Raised Ribbed Gun.

Position the adjustable plate at the second notch.

When checking the gun's cast re-mount the gun fully (not partially) several times.

If the crossbar restricts the view of the bead...

  • Raise the adjustable plate fully
  • Check cast again
  • Lower it to a position either above or below the crossbar to ascertain height measurement as outlined in the instruction manual.

Using an adjustable stock is one method of ascertaining the cast and stock height required.

Note: When correcting a bad gun mount, remember to remount the gun fully, not partially.
